Service Status Page Online

May 30, 2008 Jutda specialises in making web-based applications. Since there are so many variables outside the control of people who run web applications, there will inevitably be problems that impact on users of those services. That’s why we’ve set up a Service Status webpage in a way that means it’ll be available even if we’re not.

Web-based applications can have many points of failure, due to the different levels of infrastructure between the application and the end-user. Most of the time, for most people, this isn’t a problem and the service continues to hum along nicely.

Occasionally though, there may be problems out of our control which mean our software is unusable for a short period of time. While we’ll be busy working on a fix, it’s important that end users know what’s going on.

That’s why we’ve set up an offsite service status page that is not hosted on our infrastructure. This means that if our servers go down, that page should still be available.

We encourage you to bookmark our status page, so if you come across any issues you can quickly check it out so you know what the problem is and when it’s likely to be fixed.

Ultimately it’d be perfect if we never had to place a message there - but if we have to, it will be for the right reasons.
